Hey Guys and Gals-

I'm in need of a solo or collection of solos with piano that would be appropriate for a traditional Christian worship service (our denimoination is Disciples of Christ). Most everything I've found in the local music strores are VERY easy and with CD accompianment rather than piano. I'm looking for something a little more advanced (difficulty is not an issue) yet listener friendly. Any help is appreciated.

Try I book called jazz in the sanctury by a guy called Chuck Mahornic (surname probably incorrect) sorry or listen to some of Todd Williams Stuff from Time Square Church (you'd be best off googlin both)........or you could listen to some of my own stuff from Time Stood Still (via my website)

1) There ought to be a lot of trumpet stuff you could do on soprano.
2) Transcribe the sax part "Five American Gospel Songs" arr. Zanninelli Great settings -take a listen to Amazing Grace and His Eye Is On the Sparrow from Harry White's Spectrum Saxophonis.
3) Beyond These Hills and Dark Flows the River by Carl Anton Wirth
4) Transcribe the sax part for the Gounod/Bach Ave Maria.

Good luck.
