Hey SOTW:
After I've been playing my reeds for a while, I take them off and notice they have bent upward, as if mirroring the facing of the mouthpieces they were being played on. This happens with every reed I've used for some months, regardless of brand or horn. I feel like they still are playing okay, but I can't imagine that the bend is benefitting my embouchure any. If anything it's another variable I have to deal with. Is this just another sign that a reed has died, or am I doing something wrong in my playing technique to cause these reeds to bend and close the tip opening of my mouthpieces?
