I switched to a Drake Studio after using a handmade Guardala MBII for almost 30 years. The Studio can go from bright & powerful to light and smooth... high notes are not shrill and the lower notes don't bark back like they would on the Guardala if I was playing softly. The Guardala can be kinda one dimensional and my playing opportunities are much more diverse now so having that flexibility is a huge plus. I would highly recommend giving any of the Drake models a try.
The NY Jazz really surprised me in terms of how bright and how loud it can get. Jason Weber does a nice demo of it on YT. Halfway through his demo is when he starts to really blow.
I've had a Christlieb before as well. Husky and punchy with easy altissimo but I found the NY Jazz to be a little brighter.
I'm sure the Studio and Contemporary hold their own as well.
