Two years ago I bought a used WX5 on ebay.
The mouthpiece was fixed on the instrument. I tried to remove it but I was not able to do that. I tried to rotate it but it was hardly fixed and it didn't move at all. I tried to push with a screwdriver between mouthpiece and instrument's body but I just scretched plastic: mouthpiece didn't move at all. So I cleaned it with cotton swabs and I stop trying to remove it. Some days ago I broke the reed. So now I need to change the mouthpiece.

Anyone can tell me how to remove the mouthpiece?

They should come off easily. Since you bought it used however, it might have been glued or something. Just unscrew the reed - Changing the reed does not require you to remove it, but it does need periodic cleaning. New mouthpieces are around $30....buy a new one and then if you have to, apply force...

The first time I removed the mpc from my WX5s it was extremely difficult. I used a flat blade screwdriver and very slowly pried it off, rotating the screwdriver around the seam, and unfortunately scarring the metal ring in the process (not very noticeably though - see pix at http://www.nortonmusic.com/wx5.html

When I put it back I used a lubricant called "Silicon 7" that I purchased through WindWorksDesign (find it in the repair parts section) and I haven't had a problem since.

WX On, WX Off? Oooh, that's bad....

Anyway, try TORQUE. But be careful not to turn it more than about 30 degrees. If you do, you can damage the lip sensor.

If you're at all squeamish, sending it to Patchman for repair may be your best bet.

I've used cork grease, recorder cream, Silcon 7; they all do about as good. The Silcon 7 doesn't tend to fade away as much, though.
