Bass guitar sounds on Midi Wind controller

So I have been trying to do some deep research on getting quality bass guitar sounds for midi controller for some time. I do play the bass guitar as a second instrument off and on for many years and have played gigs as well as done my own bass guitar recordings. Over the past several years I've been trying to do more research on getting authentic bass guitar sounds and bass sounds for midi wind controllers. I have owned a midi controller in the past but have not decided to splurge on one recently unless I knew that I could get the bass sounds that really sounded like a bass guitar. Any advise anyone?

Nothing. To be honest I stopped searching for now. If someone comes across something then I am opened to the ideas. Everytime I have looked for the new midi wind controllers and see reviews, I only hear wind synth, strings, and mock wind instrument sounds. I've heard great sound patches for keyboard but I do not think they interface with the wind controllers. As far as I know

I am contemplating doing the same, myself. In fact, not just bass sounds, but attempting to play nearly all the sounds of a band via a wind controller. I am an iPad based musician, and I have a few of the SWAM physically modeled instruments, including double-bass, as well as reeds, trumpets, saxophones, etc. I don't have the wind controller just yet (buying it in a few days), so I haven't tried it with the double-bass yet.

Meant to ask whether you've tried iFretless Bass. It's an iPad app, a fairly convincing electric bass guitar.

I have had a similar experience in trying to find a wind controller. It seems the best of them were made by Yamaha years ago, and I'm wondering why they were discontinued. I was interested in the WX5, in particular. Then I saw their new YDS-120 Digital Saxophone, but when I watched a pro saxophonist's review, in which he said it is "unplayable," I decided against it.

Has anybody had any luck finding an instrument? I was thinking of picking up the Roland. The top of the line one ..I think has a pretty good bass guitar sound but I haven’t heard anybody actually use it.
