My local musical instruments store sells Stewart Ellis soprano saxes, for around 400 euros. Has anyone experience with this brand an its soprano sax? (the SE-700-L ) How is the quality ? Reviews or experiences are very hard to find.
Here are some specs:
• front F and high F# keys
• double action table key
• pivot screw
• key fine adjusting screws
• Luciano Pisoni pads with metal resonators
• distinctive underslung octave key mechanism
• high G key
• softcase
And a description of Stewart Ellis from tasset.com:
"Maison TASSET is pleased to introduce the Stewart Ellis instruments. You might have never heard the name of this brand now but it will become a top-brand within a few years.
Unlike most Chinese manufactured products where only the low selling price matters, Stewart Ellis offers instruments with a very nice finish, no pitch or playability problems. Even with an attractive price list, Stewart Ellis remains a serious and trustable brand in the student instruments market."
I do not expect the quality to be like a Selmer or a Yanagisawa, but I´m very curious if someone knows more about Stewart Ellis´ saxes?
