So I am looking at a 40k Selmer super balanced action, the reason I need some help is that 1 it's a relac, 2 it is missing the original neck and finally it will need an overhaul I would imagine (haven't seen the horn yet). I can get it for $1750 or so, it comes with a gig bag and a Yanigsiawa neck, just curious what others thoughts are on this deal, as always, thanks for the help. Jay

For an investment, not a good buy. SBAs of that vintage had a matching serial number neck.
For an alto to play music with, might be a good deal. Depends on condition. If you have to put $1500 into it to get it to play right, then not so hot.
