Hello,
I'm interested in the story of it.
Left -right holes on the bell and big soldered paws.
What maker makes you this think of ?

In my opinion, this one (because of century-old split bell key design and woeful over-buffing) is likely not worth the cost of shipping. And good luck trying to find out its actual history, seeing as the name 'Lafleur' has been associated with different makers/marketers of student Saxes (ie. not sought-after); early days marketed by (UK) Hawkes, but made in Eastern Europe or elsewhere instead. Edit: Based on knowledgeable posts below, may instead be a stencil Sax actually made by Hawkes rather than just marketed by them. The ebay link also helped with extra pics showing it to be a bit more 'modern' than I first suspected (having thought it might only been keyed to high Eb; also the front F was a surprise).
[Here is a thread from a different site regarding the Hawkes connection dating back to 1913: https://cafesaxophone.com/threads/old-lafleur-soprano-sax.21508/]. Cheers...

This sax is certainly not comparable to the bulk of the Lafleur which were made by Amati but MUCH later on

I would like to have more pictures for a better ID , as for value, well, whatever it is, it was buffed and relacquerd at some stage, it is a stencil and probably only worth €100, my problem would be what to do with it. If one is not doing the work oneself fixing this will wildly overshoot the value

The “ paws” (or rather “ feet”) of the cages are something which I would associate to French or English early saxophones, again, as such there may be some interest but the value is and remains low.

Have you bought it? It seems to be still on offer and is in England.

Seeing it over to Belgium will const more than the current highest bid and you will also have to pay for VAT + Import charges + Custom clearance costs charged by post or courier.

I don’t think this was a great move to buy this, if you can pull out as quickly as you can.

I have seen the pictures. It is not something that I can readily Identify.

It may very well be produced in England by Boosey & Hawkes themselves

It shows similarities with this other one, but really it is fairly immaterial.

Personally I wouldn’t have bought it, certainly not if it is not in the EU.

The announcement is still in progress but actually, I don't really see any point in buying it, especially when you calculate the costs.
100€ to discover an old piece that has value through its history is one thing, but not being able to do anything with it is throwing away your money!
Thank you Milandro for your expertise !
