They are indeed Amati made and the only difference is the bell to body brace (in the tenor), the pants guard and the low notes guard ( nicer engraved) and the nicer art deco engraving on the bell. They are not MADE in Steyr but they were imported there by an Austrian Importer who imports brass and woodwinds. The brass instruments should be made by B&S.

The Identical Amati is normally cheaper ( on account of the Austria punched stamp which is NOT to be confused with a stamp saying " Made in Austria" it doesn't say Made because it isn't made there! )

They are nice, simple saxophones and play well.
