Has anyone tried these Marca Unic hybrid cane-synthetic reeds? They seem to have been released in early 2024 but I can't find any real reviews of them. It would be good to read a few opinions if anyone has tried them. I tend to use Venn these days and enjoy them, but always looking for new options, especially on soprano since Venn does not make a soprano reed. Thanks!

Hi David,

I have no info to respond to your inquiry, but I thought I’d just briefly say hi here from Scripps Ranch. We met at Tio Leo’s a couple weeks back.

(I always used Legere signature, but am back now to cane. 🤷‍♂️)

A friend of mine gave me an alto. Strength 2. I’ve never got on with synthetics, but this feels great so far. It’s a cane reed, apparently with some “stuff” inside the fibres (?) looks like cane, feels like cane, the only thing I don’t know is the longevity. I would usually play a 2m, sometimes a 2H, and the strength of this feels fine, so I suspect they run a little hard
