I'm looking for any information anybody has about this piece. I've looked on Google, but I didn't get much. I already know it was dedicated to Sigurd Rascher by Ibert, and that it was thought to be unplayable by most people when it was first written.

There is really no reason why I want this information...I'm just hungry for facts and love doing research on this kind of stuff. Also, if anyone could tell me where I could do some good researching, that would be great.
The piece was originally written for Saxophoneist Sigurd Rascher, whereas, you will hear him play all altissimo in the piece. Marcel Mulle also played the piece, but I must say, not as well as Rascher did. Go to reedmusic.com, and you can listen to all recordings of it, and even purchase it.
