Pretty outrageous stuff! Good bye Adobe. Someone smart should take up their position offering similar services minus the greed of stealing everyone's property.

That article is from June 2024. I don't recall ever having to consent to a new EULA. I did find some posts on reddit from last year talking about it but the info is kind of muddy. I'm going to keep digging into it.

Edit: I just found this which indicates they changed some of the language and clarified some things.
