Less quotes here, I believe:

I have listened to various clips found on Youtube. From my amateurish perspective, he surely seem gifted to above the roof without having technique drown out his play.

Didn't know he was local - thanks. I will make a point of hearing/seeing him live once there is such thing again.

Tucker is a true phenom.
This guy is something else. I remember Bergonzi telling me 15 years ago that this guy was another Michael Brecker.
Not only is he a phenomenal player but he’s also a really great person.

Thanks for posting.

I agree. he’s pretty unique. He does a couple of things in there that I have never heard before. Need to check him out further. Thanks!

I absolutely love his playing--so much charisma and intention. He has a masterful grasp of his instrument and is able to pretty much just play whatever he wants---really inspiring. I've heard a few solos of him playing in a funk setting too--I found myself making some pretty serious involuntary stank-face (which is the highest of compliments).

About 5 yrs ago, I saw him w/ a blues/R&B band at a local BBQ joint a few miles from my house (Metro West Boston area)...he was doubling on bari...easily some of best bari playing I've ever heard...I just recall his bari tone being so incredible. Sounded great on tenor too :) Here's one w/ the other Tucker (Mike Tucker)...channeling the great tenor battles of the past:

Monster...the entire Grime Scene album is just incredible. Huge sound packed with a tremendous amount of vocabulary and all the overtones and screaming one could ask for. He really gets around on that Conn.
