You'll grow to love it Robert.Mine's an A990-u,intermediate model to A991,and it is great.Anyone saying it is bland can't be talking about the horn.
You made a great choice in a modern horn and aren't expensively priced.Many members sing their praises.Do some reading up in the Yanagisawa section on this forum.

I believe the A990u followed the 990 and was the TOP of the line before the 991.

Yeah, a 900 or 901 would have been the "semi-pro" model. All Yannis are pro horns.

Oh the confines of language.Forgive use of the word intermediate,I meant transitional,therefore A990u,a model in transition.

In a previous post,I asked forum members if there was a slight difference in tonehole placement,that I had read somewhere,with no reply.

Thanks for your responses. I do like Yanagisawa saxophones. I also have a Yanagisawa soprano which is very nice to play.
