I have been offered one of these for $45.00 and i can't find much info on the net.
it plays well (i haven't played it but i have heard it played) and looks in good condition
I assume these are a student model any ideas how old it might be and are they any good or should i keep looking.

Thanks in advance

Don't know anything about these but Yamaha student flutes are generally pretty darn good.

It is the equivalent of a YFL221, i.e. basic student model, but renamed for the Pacific rim market.

There are very common around here in NZ. Series 2 is sufficiently new that I don'[t think i have had to change any pads yet.

That is very, very cheap. If it were in OK order it would sell here second hand for around $500 (USD 350). Buy it!
