LJ! How is the tour going? How's that alto flute treating you?

What up Ving???

Jupiter is treating me very well. I started the tour on the curved head joint, but I switched to the straight. Tone and pitch are better on it now that I have spent some time on it. Thanks again for the hookup.

The tour has been great so far. We are playing in Red Bank, NJ tonight at the Count Basie Theater. Last night, Phoebe Snow sat in with the band on her song "Poetry Man", which she wrote and recorded years ago. Queen covered it on her new record. Got a nice pic of Phoebe, Queen, and myself after the show.

One more week and a half of hopscotching around the east coast, then we settle in Manhattan for a week. Looking forward to hitting Roberto's, and maybe stopping to see Adam Niewood.
