There are many awesome sax players contributing to this site, of course, but if you haven't done so yet, check out Julius Tolentino (aka Juliustole).

All I can say is wow! Whoever he is, Paul Mauriat must be smiling!

While you're at it: check out this great young Canadian talent too:

If that doesn't make your day, you just don't like jazz :D :D :D :D :D :D

Peace,

Thanks

Rory,

Thanks for the kind words. Got my stuff in the mail a couple of days ago. Hopefully I will be in Canada in the near future, if so I'll look you up.

Great tracks! I love your tone! I'll be picking up some CDs...
Are you using the 67R, V16 and 3ZZs on "In the Beginning"?

Thanks for the comments. I'm not playing a P Mauriat or the Vandoren on that recording, but will be doing some promo stuff for both Vandoren and P Mauriat very soon. Right now I'm playing the Black Pearl alto and I'm still between mpc's but I think I'm settling on the V16 8S. I hope to figure it out by the end of the summer and do another CD. Will be posting some sound comparisons of the different P Mauriats in the next couple of months.

Saints-

Was in Ohio with Louis Hayes a while ago but as of now nothing in the books. I've heard some good things about the Cleaveland scene.

There are good things happening here. This http://www.nighttowncleveland.com/ is a pretty neat venue. This http://www.jwpjazz.com/ is the guy to contact.

I'd love to hear you live.

John,

thanks for the info. Does Gary Bartz's drummer still live out there?

P Graves,

I will be at the Catilina Bar and Grill in Dec and possibly Sam Ash and Schminetti's Sax Shop on the West coast (clinics- Vandoren, P Mauriat)

Hammer,

Just the Begining is my tune the rest I arranged

Let me know about those clinics, please. I'd be interested. :)
