Thanks for the address info and all I already had it. He's a very nice person But, make sure Mr. Winslow is okay with you giving out his info like this. Because now some serious people will inquire his work at his home phone which is great for him if he wants the work. And a lot of crazies will be also calling with all types of questions and what not and maybe that's not too comfortable for him. Take care guys.
THESE LIGATURES ARE THE VERY BEST THING YOU CAN PUT ON YOUR MOUTHPIECE. Musically speaking obviously.

I did discuss this post with him, I wouln't have gone there unless he agreed.

There are rumore that these aren't available anymore - and thats not the case in the slighest.

I see them sell at insane prices here. I tried to buy one back from a guy I sold one to years ago for $50 -
now he wants $250 - It blew my mind. Odd size - jumbo Bari piece.

I agree - these are AWESOME. They literally double the amount of usable reed from a box for me. There also easily adjustable - allowing you many bumper configurations - and diffrent tonal efects.

I have been using the same once since 90 - one of the 1st black ones ever!

Yeah I sopke with Mr.Winslow 2 days ago and ordered a #2 ligature he seemed interested on how I found him xD I had a nice discussion with him.. He also quoted me 2-3 weeks ... is it true that it really came in 2 days for you? because if that is the case, I have something to look foward to during the next few days :D
Are these the same as the Saxxas ligatures? I have one of those and they seem similar in design...........
SAXXAS copied Winslow on the design, but to me it seems like the SAXXAS are more sturdily built then the Winslow I've seen at my teachers place. The metal seems thicker and it feels more sturdy in my hands then the Winslow, but the Winslow is decades old.
The Saxxas can look like more sturdy, but I have two of Winslow from the beginning of the 90th and they are both work properly.
About my order for my winslow.. I got it today! i immediately tried it out and it was great... I had to mess around with the tightness of it but after a few tries, I found a sound that I really liked... it only took 2 days of shipping after he got the check!
Called Mr. Winslow today to order one #17 ligature for my guardala tenor mpc. Sending check out tomorrow he said would be about 3 weeks because of the snow storm they just had. I will keep you posted.

Just wanted to post that I got my ligature today. I am so excited and will be shedding all weekend with it. Can't wait.
is there an email where I can reach him at?
I am from Asia.
Do I sense a resurge in the WINSLOW FEVER like back in the mid-90's? my teacher played winslow on all the horns...I had one for alto...Played about 50% MORE reeds for me...great lig...

Bkobog,
you could get a SAXXAS ligature which is basically a Winslow copy just built more heavily(i.e. thicker brass construction), it would probably for easier for you to get as you can pay with paypal
Jack
Thanks Jet!
They're high end ligs, no doubt. Rough estimate, but $70-90.
how much do these Winslows cost?
well as I previously posted, these ligs cost $98 for me so yeah... the price seems pretty standard
Just got mine today, plays superbly. Anyone got any advice on the cushion pads - I'd love to have time experimenting, but I don't and wouldn't mind two or three suggestions and their likely results
