In honor of his 71st brithday this Saturday, the first person that correctly answers BOTH Trane trivia quizes now posted on SOTW before 9/23 will receive the DVD John Coltrane: Impressions of Coltrane
Good luck and don't cheat with Google.
BTW-- post both aswers here for free DVD credit:D

I think it's Mr Holland's Opus w/ Richard Dryefus and Mo' Better Blues, but I see somebody already answered the latter ( I would have gotten it though. Wish that movie was a little more about music and less about p****.)

In what major US studio movie did a major character apologize for playing John Coltrane music by saying--"next time I will play better music for you"

The interesting thing about the scene for me was that at first got excited about hearing this beautiful trane recording then was shot down by the above dialogue

After this is over, Houston will produce a reality TV show. Based on the old Treasure Hunters series, the program will fly teams of SOTWers all over the world on a scavenger hunt to find his lost Reference 36!

Is it hidden in the belly of the Sphinx? Is it buried in Grant's Tomb?

I'm sure the bronx has had a great amount of people living and playing there.

No Queens is the cool captial of the WORLD. This is why I live there.:D :D

Well YEAH! :D Or it's more like YEAAA-ah. Trying to capture the inflection my 6-year-old uses. Grates on my nerves like fingernails on tofu.
