Today I was practicing at home, I was experimenting with opening my throat like if I were yawning.

I found out that my sound changed a bit.
I am happy about my tone than I was before.
So I was wondering if I keep playing my alto saxophone with my throat open if it will improve my sound on it.

After doing it, I thought- Ugh! Why was I so close minded about opening my throat!
I realized I was doing it before, but doing it the wrong way, causing my tone to suffer!

Now I do it the right way by opening my throat as If I were yawning.

Im not taking lessons yet.

I learned it from this website:

Now that I know this-

What else should I do to fatten up and darken my tone on saxophone?
