I was thinking of supporting my local music store during these hard times by buying either a lighter-weight case or a multiple instrument case for alto and straight soprano. Anyone know what cases will fit, or if all standard cases would?

I don’t know about an exact fit but the Protech case is pretty nice product. Sales online with discounts today can be had for $193.80 plus tax including delivery. Unless your local store is buying bulk I don’t think they can match the discounts. Supporting your local music store. Retail they are listing from $225 to $250. It’s worth the $30 to keep your neighbor alive.
Others may be available. This just gives you something as a starting point with your local store. They can contact tech-support and ask the question.
