Found on Craig's list. Supposed to be from 1929 and all original.

Not me (assuming it is a Tenor and not a C). IT is either a Rudy or a later horn. How much? Me likee.
He's asking $450, but I'm thinking more like $200. I guess I'll have to go check it out. This is getting crazy. I bought 3 horns in the last month. Its like bringing home lost pups.

And it begins!
Welcome to the obsessive/compulsive collectors club my friend.
Looks like someone had been picking it up by the neck. Might have bent the body tube as well.
It turns out to be a Collegiate from 1950. Original pads, case, mouthpiece. The silver is beautiful. It plays pretty well too. Turns out that the guys friend that checked it out was Doug Lawrence from the Basie Band. Here I go again.
The horn in the photos is no newer than 1932, opposing bell keys, etc. Remember that Holton serial numbers are not accurate. I do know that 37,xxx was around the late 20s.
