They made the greatest beach movies of all time!
Muscle Beach Party 1964
Beach Party 1963
Beach Blanket Bingo 1965
Pajama Party 1964
How to Stuff a Wild Bikini 1965
Ski Party 1965
Thunder Alley 1967
Fireball 500 1966
Bikini Beach 1964
Great Music!!
Great sax playing!!
These movies were funny time capsules into the past, at the local drive-in...
An innocent time in history...
I think you can get these now on DVD.

I will definitely,
I wish I knew who the tenor sax player is in the band
the HONDELLS?
Some times it sounds like Boots Randolph....

After some research I found out the sax player I was refering to was indeed Johnny Paris. Here are some CD recommendations : Those who want everything by Johnny and the Hurricanes are advised to look out for the three Repertoire CD's : Red River Rock (REP 4739), Stormsville (REP 4740) and The Big Sound of Johnny and the Hurricanes (REP 4741), though these are now out of print and hard to find. He was the heart and soul of the early rock and surf sax sound ! His playing still has a big influence on guys like me who love the honkin' wailing sound of the 50's and
early 60's!
Long Live Johnny Paris!
