I'm buying a new ligature for my Phil Tone Link STM, the one that came with it has lost the plot, and so after reading a few ligature related threads, I've decided on two possibilities, the Selmer 404 and the Theo Wanne Enlightened.

Which one? Or should I get both?

Should add that this is for a tenor mpc

And may I say, the Enlightened ligature is an enlightening experience. I did not hold out much hope for anything much, but the EL is fantastic, noticable feel, improvement in sound etc.

Funny thing, I use Plasticovers most of the time unless gigging, and the EL doesn't fit the STM with those. I was resigned to putting the EL purchase down to experience and nothing more, but - one last attempt - I tried it with a cane reed and it's beautiful. Fits perfect.
