Transitional model Conns or perhaps my Conn Bass. The straight neck C melody is good but best has to be my Conn Tranny bari by a large margin.

I own 6 Conns, 5 of them restored and fully functinal (Csop, curved sop, alto, Cmel, and bari). Considering all of them, I'd have to say that my Tranny 12M is my favorite to play.

I briefly owned a silver plated Connqueror alto: I don't know about best, but it was too good for me. I'd love to try a 30M some day, but I fear the prices are going to continue to skyrocket.

hehehe tranny is my 2nd best, wish I have the money to get 1 for my 2nd tenor. 30M is pretty, I heard the sound once, and frankly speaking I like 10M better.
