I know this is probably in the wrong area of the Forum, but this is a very General topic. Many of us have played more than one horn. More than one Alto, Tenor etc.

And another topic got me thinking in General, which do you prefer. The Heavier Sax or the lighter Sax? I am talking Just in weight, and Why?

I'll start it off.
I prefer the heavier sax, I know that it is around my neck. Usually (in my opinion) it sounds darker when you play a heavier sax. Just my opinion though, courious to hear yours.

You start playing gigs where your carrying three horns and equipment and you'll think twice about looking for heavy horns. ;)

Thats a good point, but Gary you've played alot of horns. Wouldn't you say your Serie II is a decently to heavy horn, for being an Alto?
