So I'm guessing that JW Pepper or Sheet Music Plus don't have it.
Pepper usually has TONS of band arrangements...

As a guess, since Sigurd Rascher premiered this, the original version might not be generally available.

Rascher got exclusives on a lot of the work written for him - and most of what he played had been written for him, due to the extended range he used, back when he had no students and no one else could play it. So music associated with Rascher can sometimes be closely held among his students and grandstudents.

I've never heard of any pieces for which Rascher had exclusive performance rights. The range may have kept saxophonists from flocking to them early on, but in examples such as the Ibert, it was being performed within months of Raschers premiere.

I imagine the Whitney is difficult to come by because it is not a very popular piece. The fact that is is available only as a rental would make it even less popular of a piece to be programmed.

And in addition...pieces written for Rascher are not "closely held" by his students and grandstudents. This insinuates that his students are somehow not wanting this music to be more widely performed. The music, if it is published, is there for anyone that wants it. Not all of it is published, but unfortunately that is just how the business is. For some reason, saxophonists not from the Rascher lineage do not play much of the chamber music written for Rascher. The concertos are a different story. They are all pretty much standard and played by everyone.
