I'll take a Mark VI tenor, serial number in the 50k-60k, mint condition... sell it for $20,000.00, then buy myself a Yangisawa curved soprano in silver, have Rampone custom-make me a curved soprano in copper, buy one of the new Liebman Keilwerth sopranos, throw in two or three good mouthpieces, and keep the change...
My dream horn would probably be a Keilwerth Shadow Tenor or Nickel Silver Tenor -- because I already have a 82Z with all the fixins -- (silver, roos, metal resos, G3). I am really not curious about much else.
Just to have: A very early Buescher TH&C tenor in either original shiny silver or gold plate.
To play: A solid Mark VI made in 1965 or before that had been completely rebuilt by a truly great tech with black roopads. Finish would likely be bare brass that has never been mechanically buffed, but that I would keep hand polished time to time.
Hmm my dream horn would be a full pearled, silver bell/neck King Silversonic Alto OR (for some crazy reason) a mint Grafton. I wouldn't take it nowhere but just to blow a few notes on one would be fun.
