New on the forum ..posted this to an old thread that perhpas wasn't the right one ...so please forgive the redundancy ...

Does anyone know if Gato is out playing anymore? ... he was my mentor back in my young days ... Had everyone of his albums ... (loved all the chapters!!)anyway,... years ago i went to see him and the show was cancelled ...then last year he was at the blue note and i just couldn't get away ... his webpage doesn't say anything about anything ... any current info on his playing status??

That was the show I didn't make ... know if any new dates at the blue note are coming up?

He recorded in NY with two musicians from Agentina on 2011: Nestor Astarita (drums)& Carlos Franzetti (piano) and an american bass player David Fink.
