i have a bari sax with serial number 6297. it says evette schaeffer paris france on the bell so i assume a buffet. the serial number lines up with a super dynaction but i was told that it wasnt. what other model could it be.

Lots of the Evette & Schaeffer Saxophones were built in Italy by Santoni and other companies - pictures please!!

An Evette is never gonna be a Dynaction, although there are details of Santoni Evettes which resemble Dynaction details.

Pics, indeed, are required. It'd be interesting if it were a Santoni-made BigHorn, as you do not see many of these....

It's an Alfredo Santoni made for Buffet, there are a few more which we discussed beofore, that brace is probably not original

Is mine an older one then because i think all of those ones had the bell keys on the opposite side

Not really, have you seen the pictures in the link above? Yours, (and there were others too) are a Santoni made Buffet, made between the 60 and the /70

yes, just a slightly older design, I still think yours is a Santoni, Orsi made also stencils very similar
