I'm guessing POST-Selmer buy-out because of the way the bell is marked AND the lack of the typical bell-pads-on-the-back-of-the-bell of the PRE-Selmer buy-out Buescher 400 Top-and-Cane models. The TH&C Buescher 400 (with those peculiar bell pads, silver tone ring around the lip of the bell, raised silver "Buescher 400" script on the bell, and the engraved top hat and cane design on the bell) was the last of the Bueschers before Selmer took over.
