Man that's one of my all-time favorite recordings! Great stuff. Thanks for the reminder.

One question, though; What is 'Jaxx?'

RIGHT now, Grateful Dead Dicks Picks 12 China Cat Jam...

Had an assortment of tunes rolling on a long flight today, including Hearts and Numbers w Grolnick/Brecker.

ps; One Flight Up, that's a great one as are some of those other BN discs... GO!, Doin' Alright, Clubhouse, Dexter Calling...

Basement Jaxx are a house music duo from England.

If you mean song, I think I just made this thread. It failed... I hope yours does better. I am listening to the entire album 21th Century Blues (Parker). I am on song 10 of 18, Meandering

not all quite jazz so much tonite, some just jazz influenced stuff playin'...


really like the kind of etheral guitar in there...


one of the songs that told me one day I should pay the sax...


bet less than 2% of the people who have ever heard this one had a clue who recorded it. now YOU know...

amazingly, these guys are still touring. Randy Crawford (singer) was just amazing on this.
i'll be checking them out (sans Crawford) this september live in Seattle.

I find this song just pure fun! And Tonni Smith is yet another fab vocalist!

we've all heard it, but did we all know who recorded it?

a totally fabulous remake on an great classic!

i've always had this love/hate relationship with Sanborn's very metallic sound, but this is still a great tune.
I saw him live at Yoshi's in Oakland last February and really enjoyed him much more than on his CD's.

what can one say about one of the finest pianists ever, playing one of his finest tunes? Pure joy...
