I think your KING is infact a SML Marigaux and a much later than 1960 rather late 1970 because of the High F#.

It looks like a honest horn all being perhaps more expensive than usual, nothing to do with the american kings

If it is marked "New King" then it is a Keilwerth. The Mariqaux was sold by King in the US and it did have both names on it. I can't tell from the photos but It looks more Keilwerth than King (Mariqaux).

Silver-sax got it right! It is a student King made by Conn-Selmer (Steinway).
