What is "it" about the early SX90Rs?

And yes, I know not what I'm alluding to, hoping someone in the know will tell me (as I just snared a tenor from J.Max).

Sound different?

All I know if someone in this forum stated that pre '89 Keilwerths sound better ie when they were made in West Germany as opposed to unified germany.
