I was just wondering what mouthpiece, reed or ligature you use on your YAS-62? Feel free to add your opinion on what you think.

When I had mine, I used a Rousseau NC4 and a Hite Artist.

Well, I have a 62 tenor and an 875 EX alto, and on both I use a JodyJazz Classic with very good results, so give it a try too!

I use a black Runyon Custom 8 that I worked on some. I tend to play on the dark side so I find the Custom a better fit for me than a Meyer.

Classical: S-80 C*/Hemke 3.5/Rovner Dark
Jazz: Vintage Selmer Soloist E (long shank)/Hemke 3/Rovner Dark

I tried a Vandoren V5-A15 once out of curiosity, and that piece seemd kind of stuffy to me coming off the S-80. YMMV.

Saxmaniac, the way your post was worded, it seemed like only certain mouthpieces sounds good on certain saxes. Any mouthpiece would generally sound the same on any sax. I hope that makes it easier for you to choose one. There's a mouthpiece out there for anyone's preference. You have the whole market of alto mouthpieces to choose from. The same goes for reeds and ligatures.
