I just go a Legere tenor sax reed, and on the paper that comes with it said not to store it in a reed case b/c it puts pressure on the tip. Right now i'm putting int in between the box and the plastic on my rjs box, but i was wondering what other people used

A reed case that doesn't put pressure on the tip:cool: . The pressure is all on the vamp.

If you have any plastic reedguards that come with rico reeds those would work great.

Hmmm.... There have been several discussions about this already on the forum. It would be helpful to search through some of the older threads and you'll find a lot of great suggestions.

Anyway, I use Selmer reed cases for my Legere reeds. The downward pressure from the cushion in the lid along the entire length of the reed on the glass plate keeps the reeds flat and the tips safe. As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect for Legeres.
