It sounds like one of those joke questions like:

Q: What do you call a drummer with no girlfriend?
A: Homeless.

What do you call a flute maker?

I dunno, "unemployable"? A real optimist? (Kidding, of course.)

Easy in German:

Blasenquerdurchdenquerlochinstrumentenhersteller
Why didn't I think of that?

The complete post is in the FLUTES section. The entire post says that I got a blurb from Verne Powell stating:

Header: After acquiring Powell Flutes in 2016, a well-established cornerstone of the flute making industry, Buffet Crampon acquires Parmenon, whose know-how and reputation expands the group's expertise in the flute market.

A company created in Orléans in the 1970s by Michel Parmenon, the brand has established itself in the flute making landscape by becoming a major player in the sector, thanks to the quality of its craftsmanship and the know-how of its luthiers.

Anyone see something wrong here?

There is a guy who makes flutes who lives near me.

Most folks call him Tom, ( but his real name is Thomas.)

Hope that helps the thread stay on track.
