the Francois Louis "Smart Cap" works-most people including me don't like them much. When I had one of those ligs(which I wasn't impressed by) I fashioned this from an old plastic cap I had laying around. I just used a utility knife to cut it to fit like this. HMM< Thanks, Thats an idea I've not thought of. That would have to be LARGE cap I assume.. I'll look into the "Smart Cap". Anyone else?

its a regular tenor sized plastic cap-the two little legs fit under the lig on each side of the reed, the back is cut to just butt up to the lig, not cover it.
