What can I expect ?

I just had news from my friend in the UK, he told me that my Tenor New King had finally arrived, he said it looks great. My question to you guys is this, I never played a Tenor Before, so what can I expect from this New king ?
All input on any aspect of it would be great.Also what mps would you guys say would be good to try? I want to play Rock jazz .
Now I have to wait till I get back to the uk to see it for my self,about another 3/4 weeks.
