Hi everyone- Many of you are aware, Wess 'Warmdaddy' Anderson suffered a stroke a few weeks ago. His recovery is going well, but I wanted to let everyone know that a fund has been set up to assist him in paying for his rehabilitation efforts, medical care, prescriptions, etc. He will be unable to perform for the time being, and will be taking at least this semester off from teaching at Michigan State, so his and his family's income has and will be affected. Any help that we can give to this great musician and true gentleman would be greatly appreciated. The 'Warmdaddy' nickname says it all- Wess is always happy to share what he has with anyone he can. Certainly we can return the favor.

Information on how to donate is on his website, www.wesswarmdaddyanderson.com . Go to 'News on Wess' and read the post dated July 31, 2007. You can also leave well wishes for him on the site, Max Colley and Wess's wife Desi make sure Wess reads them every day.

Peace- Mike

Thank you for this, I don't have anything to give right now, but I left a comment on the blog for him. I hope he gets better soon, and once again, thank you so much for posting this.

No problem- with Wess, words of encouragement and support mean more than monetary contributions. If you feel you can do both, wonderful. The outpouring of support locally has been amazing though, almost overwhelming at points. I'm certain Wess thanks you for the kind words. Peace- Mike
