If the fabled SOTW member, "Gary", was here, he would tell you to use the Search button.

And what he means is that there are literially thousands of threads on this site about this subject. The good news is that if you search for individual mouthpiece brands, you will get more facts, myths and opinions than you could get anywhere else on Earth.

WELCOME - You have found mouthpiece Valhalla and enlightenment begins with the Search button. :)

If you search for Mayer you might have problems, as it is spelled Meyer.

Actually, if you search for "Mayer", you will get about 26 threads. And except for a few that mention "John Mayer", most are about Meyer mouthpieces. Is SOTW great, or what? ;)

Thank you! I keep meaning to buy a doorstop and I always forget and meantime I've got this really horrible mouthpiece that came with one of the asian saxes I've been buying sitting in a drawer somewhere doing bugger all - a perfect match! :)

Hey guys, chill... this was dikki's very first post on SOTW for crying out loud, give him/her a chance to leanr the rope a bit before correcting his spelling eh? (but feel free to correct mine as much as you like).

Dikki, ignore them, they're just being playful and it's all meant in a friendly way. Welcome to SOTW, make use of the Search button to keep out of trouble and have fun! :)

You didn't correct his spelling or otherwise have a go at him, so I wasn't referring to you. I actually agree entirely with your posting :)

For the record, I wasn't being my usual smartass self, I was trying to be helpful and pointing our new friend in the right direction. (Which could also me interpreted as me being my usual know it all self.)

Did I put my foot in it? I wasn't intending to have a go at anyone, I just didn't want to see a potential new SOTW member running a mile... :)
