I had an MRI a few years ago on my knee. I requested 'classical'. I had 45 minutes of Vivaldi 'four seasons' done by a really crappy orchestra--while the MRI banged in the background. It was kind of like 'heavy metal' meets baroque.

I would think Kenny G with the thumping of the MRI in the background could only improve the experience.

More seriously, why are this high-educated doctors so mis-educated concerning music?

Med techs, not doctors, perform MRIs.

Not quite true. It was actually a six year old boy, and his oxygen tank failed. Here's an interesting link to different accidents:
