This should really be in the mouthpiece section of the marketplace.

And I thought you already had one of these!

Remember, Sanborn's actual mouthpiece has been worked on...you might ask around as to how it was worked on because I can't remember the specifics.

Except that the say "Miami, Florida" on the shank. Which has no effect whatsoever on the sound.

Most of the newer ones I'm seeing look better than most of the older ones. Most are now Nickel-plated on the body only. The table and interior is bare Silverite. Some plating my hang down on the edge and interfere with the reed sealing, so you may want to carefully sand the edge of the table if you see this problem. But the chamber/wart area is a lot neater looking and symmetric on these newer ones. The facing work is still mostly bad. But if you try a bunch you may find a good one without having to get it refaced. I have not seen a well-faced one yet, but clients tend to send me ones they are having problems with.
