well after many years my ferrees leak light with non changeable 12 inch bulb has bit the dust, while it seems i can mail it back to ferees and get this repaired i think i want to upgrade to one of the control units that can take different size bulbs.

in quickly looking at the systems the votaw seems to have the most options and actually be a bit cheaper than the ferees, does anyone have one who woudl care to share feedback on it?

has it held up well with time?

I use one that has been repairing instruments longer than I have. The plug for the bulbs changed, but Votaw was kind enough to make an adapter. For sax work the 18" bulb is excellent.

I picked this up out of curiosity and only need it for odd jobs on my own horns.No idea what diameter this is and seller didn't know. 10$ worth a gamble.
