Generally speaking in Asia, Japan and Thailand are the only countries where you are likely to find SOME vintage saxophones but there will be a particular penchant for brands like Selmer or perhaps Buffet, not always many American horns (perhaps in Thailand )

I really don't think there are other shops is other Asian countries ( we have heard many times from Asian visitors or members that it is extremely difficult to even buy new saxophones)

Apparently in the district of Shin Okubo there are shops with vintage saxophones

in Bangkok ( Thailand) you may find Doctor Sax who may have vintage saxophones

There is something called "sax society" which I've seen in some of the videos of this player called Mr. Koh apparently displaying many saxophones.

Not sure about them being vintage.

I have actually been to places in Beijing with some very nice vintage American and French horns; I saw Martins, Conns and some Selmers, suitably funky-looking, especially compared to the more sparkly esthetics of current domestic instruments. I tried a few, and have no doubt they were the real thing.

I’m not sure I’d manage to find either of those spots again on my own though. A local guide with some good contacts did the trick for me.

Things must be changed a lot in China the, I was there several years ago and couldn’t find anything vintage ( I’ve bought two horns, both modern two times) , In both cities Beijing and Shanghai , musical instruments shops were concentrated in one one quarter ( the same street)

Not sure it has changed all that much, really. I was just fortunate enough to get to visit first an instrument repair workshop for a PLA orchestra (!), and later the same day another hidden gem of a workshop hidden behind a nondescript door on one of the top floors in a market building/department store otherwise completely dedicated to jewelry and jade. Safe to say, not at all the sort of places that you'd likely be able to find or get to on your own. I was very lucky that my contact knew a local pro sax player with a lot of connections.

Met some friendly easy-going guys, and tried a few horns, vintage as well as modern Chinese saxes, in an atmosphere saturated with cigarette smoke. Good times.
