So, how do you like it? Opened to a #6 will be approx .80, or more? The one I'm tryin' is exactly as open as my modern and (refaced) Meyer 6M, .76. I find the vintage to be very responsive but a bit bright, a BG Jazz lig makes it a little different though.
I use a Meyer N.Y. Bros 7 small chamber as my main alto piece. It's great! Plenty of projection if I push it but not too bright. I also have a Meyer N.Y. USA 7 small chamber, it's also a wonderful mouthpiece but just a bit too bright for my taste.
For me the tuning is better with the small chamber Meyer pieces. With the medium chamber I get a bit sharp high register and slightly flat low register.
