Hello everyone,
Long time lurker, first time poster here. Love these boards! I’m rather new to the saxophone, being originally a guitarist then a flutist, and have recently fallen rather in love with this glorious instrument. I play a 1948 Conn 6m alto and just upgraded my tenor from a Bundy II to a 1934 Martin Handcraft. I couldn’t be happier. Planning on selling the Bundy but I’m trying to make a decision about which case to let go with it. The Bundy is currently resting in a very nice pro case that I was told originally belonged to a yanagasawa. The Martin came with a vintage case in decent shape that the previous owner glued some foam inside of. I’m inclined to keep the nice case for it, but don’t want to let the old case go if it’s the original that belongs with it. It doesn’t look like an 86 year old case, but I’d like to be sure. I’d be much obliged if someone could help me answer this question. I’ve attached photos of the old case.

I don't think there's much value in a 'vintage' sax case. I'd definitely keep the "very nice pro case" (that your Bundy is in now) for the Martin and just ship the Bundy out in that older case that the Martin is in. The value in a case is in protecting your horn.

Neither case is original to either horn.
Keep, sell, no difference either way. Do whatever feels right to you..
