Maybe 4 or 5 years ago, during a solo soprano tour in Europe, I was invited to join with Vinny/Ken Filiano/ Bobby Bradford/ Alex Cline band for a few concerts in Portugal. Great nights and great inspiration playing with the West Coast's best.
When the tour was over, Vinny gave a solo concert in a small club in Lisbon, with his octobass flute included.
The music was scary great and deeply beautiful too.
And, Tim is right, Vinny is a jewel of a person too.
Players really need to know about Vinny Golia.
