Just downloaded Vincent Herring's album with Jobim classics "Jobim for Lovers" from iTunes. There is some really excellent playing there. He has superb tone and technique. I understand he plays Yanagisawas both for alto and soprano. On this album, he plays alto on 7 tunes, but I notice he plays tenor on "Wave" and sounds terrific on that, as well. His web-site doesn't state anything about his tenor setup, does anybody know it? Anyway, great listening - recommended.
