I'm a big fan of Bob Reynold both as a player and as a teacher. His lesson go right to the essentials of playing and improvising. He emphasizes going slow and learning from the greats. Besides hours of lessons, there is a member forum for questions to Bob and for sharing insights. Good value for money.

That's my initial impression. I watched a free video (4 Levels of Learning) of his and he seemed to be very articulate and organized in his teaching. Thank you for your feedback.

Bob Reynold's has put together many informative lessons and presents them in a very accessible way. Not only are the lessons great value, Bob also responds to his forum and appears to have an active interest in how his participants use his site and lessons.

I have spent more money elsewhere on lessons for less information but the lessons I have looked at on Bob's site have been tremendous value and benefit.

I signed up for the free videos and can already tell I'm gonna come back for more when I can afford it.

Bob has been one of my favorite players via youtube fame for the last 2 years.
I haven't been able to take formal lessons here in Victoria for a while.

Thanks Bob and to the OP for mentioning it

did anyone buy the 7/8 meter playing lesson? I bought it but can't get the videos to work. Tried everything I know. The first videos I got from him work fine ??? the files play audio only . They say the are a mpeg 4 file but no picture no matter what I use Quicktime , or Realplayer or I tunes or Windows Media player.

If you are trying today - Bob is having issues with his video hosting provider and is in the process of moving all his videos to a new host.

I did. No problem having the videos play (with Safari, Quicktime). The lessons are really good. Bob is a great teacher, not only a great saxophonist.

Bob is in the process of moving all his videos to a new host, it could be that the lesson you are trying to access hasn't been moved yet.

I only tested the second 7/8 video, it played without a problem. But then I'm a subscriber to Bob's lessons. I agree with jlima: "The lessons are really good. Bob is a great teacher, not only a great saxophonist."

all set , I have 2 computers and it's fine on one . I think this one is the issue. XP windows??? Not sure but Bob was great to try to help but it wasn't his end.
Agreed that Bob is very likeable as a teacher and the stuff is going to be very informative. I need to get something happening for when my friends call Softly in 7. Last time I was clueless.

Enjoy all! thanks for the replies
